BB King's Blue's Club and Grill, Beale Street, Memphis, Tennessee Mid-July

-> Top Left, Banana Bread pudding. A specialty of BB King's Bar and grill, this was a nice end to a delightful dinner (with entertainment).

-> Top Right: Filet Mignon (8 oz.) dinner, with collard greens, mash, and a cornbread muffin. It really went well with the music.

-> Bottom Right: Full baked potato, with all the toppings.

-> Bottom Left: Country Fried Chicken, with french fries, Cole-slaw, and some butter, I believe.

Epulo Bistro, Edmonds, WA., 4th of July

Epulo Bistro, Edmonds, WA.

- > This is Wood Fired Flatbread ($4), with 3-pepper hummus ($4). Delicious and satisfying, this was a nice appetizer that was reasonably priced and offered a reasonable serving size.

-> In the bottom photo is the seasonal fruit plate and the absolutely divine tuscan white bean soup (4/cup, 6/bowl). I am Italian, and have grown up my entire life on Italian cooking, and this was as good as any soup I had in Tuscany (for the price).

Pictures of Flowers, waiting for Spring...

I took these beautiful pictures of flowers when I was in Rogliano, Calabria on the suggestion of my father. Hopefully they can touch your hearts as they touched mine. The town right by it, Marzi, can literally be called the town of roses - they were beautiful!

When in Rome...

This is a back-dated blog entry, and it will be my first. When I was in Rome from the end of March to the end of April, I ate at a lot of different very high quality restaurants. I also took pictures of some of the food - unfortunately it didn't come to mind to take pictures of all of it, so I missed some of the more divine moments. I did capture a couple of special tastes though, so hopefully the food can speak for itself!
This bowl of very delicious pasta came from a place called Trattoria Moderna, which is near Campo di Fiori - this was the best restaurant I ate at in terms of bang for your buck when I was there. I don't recall what date this was, but I will edit the post once I check my records.
